Darts

Darts is a precision sport in which players throw small, pointed missiles, known as darts, at a circular target called a dartboard. The objective is to score points by landing the darts in specific areas of the board, which are divided into numbered segments with varying point values. The most common form of darts is played individually or in teams, where players take turns throwing three darts per turn, aiming to achieve a predetermined score, often 501 or 301, and reduce their score to exactly zero. The game involves strategic decision-making, including which segments to target to maximize scores or “checkout” options. Darts can be played informally in social settings or competitively in organized leagues and tournaments. The sport has a rich history and is popular worldwide, particularly in the UK and the Netherlands.
